This course provides educators with a comprehensive understanding of dyslexia and practical strategies to support students with dyslexia. Participants will learn to identify common signs and characteristics across various age groups, from early childhood through adolescence. Case studies will delve into evidence-based instructional methods and strategies, focusing on how to implement appropriate classroom accommodations that promote access and equity. Participants will examine multisensory teaching techniques designed to enhance reading, writing and spelling skills, and analyze how structured literacy approaches benefit all learners. Ultimately, participants will gain practical, classroom-ready strategies to effectively support students with dyslexia. The full course is 45 hours.
